The paint is in really good shape for the Jeep's age, but it is
not perfect. There is a small spot of surface rust on the right,
bottom edge of the tailgate, there is some paint that flaked off
of the underside of the right, rear corner of the hood, there is
a small spot of surface rust on the right, bottom corner of the
driver's side door and there is some paint bubbling on the passenger's
side door. There is also minor rusting at the triangle windows on
the solid winter doors. These are not a big deal, but I want to
be as honest as possible. There is NO rot or real rust anywhere
on this jeep. There is a dent in the front of the front right fender,
not terrible but its there. The front bumper could hold 2 more light
but with PA inspection restrictions I removed them. It has current
valid stickers until 7/7/12. The jeep could use a new alternator
but she still starts right up. Also, the door panels are tan, not
grey. I was going to replace them with black diamond plate one but
I never got around to it (cost's a little over $100). All this being
said anyone interested should try to keep a few things in mind.
It isn’t perfect. Does it have a drip or 2, yes. Is it a dream
to drive at 65 on the highway, no. Its about 85-90% of the way to
full blown crawler. Its not first choice for mileage or a first
vehicle. Any interesting trade will be considered. I’m just
not in to trail riding that much any more and I’d like something
sporty.
